For people who suffer from Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) it is a common question, “how to exercise with RA?” While it can be an intimidating thing to figure out how to exercise with RA, there are some things you can do. There are exercises that can help relieve the pain from RA, relieve stiffness and decrease your risk of developing osteoarthritis and osteoporosis.

You want to make sure you are doing some variety of exercises, because each day you will need to increase the number of exercises you do and change the types of exercises you are doing. Here are a few suggestions for different types of exercises that will help with your Rheumatoid Arthritis symptoms.

Walking is one of the best types of exercise when you have RA. It can be done on a daily basis, or as needed. Some people prefer to go jogging, while others like to take a long walk through the park. One of the great things about walking is that you can move your arms. It does not matter if you are using your arms for a walk, such as to pull your grocery cart, or to sit down at a table. Your arms will get a workout while you are walking.

Cycling is another form of exercise. When you ride a bike, you use your legs to propel yourself. This type of exercise is good if you are looking to increase your flexibility or to get into better shape. It is also a good way to get some cardio in your day and burn calories.

Another good exercise that will help you get in better shape and feel better with your Rheumatoid Arthritis is yoga. You can get in better posture, stretch your muscles and increase your range of motion. Yoga is a great form of exercise because it helps you focus on your body and the things you love most about it.

Many people will find that they do not need to exercise with RA if they can find ways to relax. Yoga is a great way to get the most benefits from exercise without actually doing it. Even if you are suffering from RA, you should still find ways to relax and try different activities. If you are able to find something that works for you, it may be an easy way to start getting rid of your pain and getting back into shape.
